Victims of Texas Elementary School Shooting

Texas elementary school faced a tragic event on the 24th of May 2022 when a gunman rampage killed 19 children and two teachers. The incident, which happened at Robb Elementary School in South Texas at about 11:32 AM, was described as heartbreaking as kid’s lives between the ages of 7 and 10 were lost. The gunman, who was identified as Salvador Oscar, has had a handgun, an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, and high capacity machine. The killed suspect is said to have shot his grandmother before conducting this awful crime. Police respondents said the shooter abandoned a vehicle outside the school before breaching the security to invade the school.

According to Texas Tribune and other sources, the Tuesday rampage left 19 children and two teachers dead as they were attacked by an 18 years old gunman Salvador Oscar. The student consists of fourth graders with other teachers who have spent years teaching in the school, losing their lives in this tragic event. Other law enforcement officers were injured during the brawl with the gunman when he tried to force his way into the school. Tuesday was a very horrible and sad day adding to the unending wave of mass shootings across the U.S. in recent years. • Irma Garcia, 48

Garcia is one of the teachers who lost her life during Tuesday’s shooting at the Robb Elementary School in Texas. She was about to complete her 23rd year of teaching in the school the same week when this tragic incident happened. She was married to Joe Garcia, with which they had four children. Sadly her husband died of a heart attack two days after the shooting.

• Makenna Lee Elrod, 10

“She had the biggest heart and loved her family and friends so much,” McCullough said of her niece on a GoFundMe page. Makenna was a ten-year-old girl who was part of the students in the class where the shooting took place.

Jose was a good and smart boy filled with life and was always peaceful and cared for his siblings. Jose’s mother and sister confirmed that he was always helpful at home and assisted in various activities. “He wanted to be a police officer when he grew up, ” Jose’s father said of his son, who he called a helper while working with CNN.

• Layla Salazar, 11

Layla was an 11 years girl who loved swimming and dancing and won many recent field races in the school. “Now she would run with the angels,” Vinnie Salazar said of his daughter, who he described as smart and adorable. He said he normally listens to “Sweet Child O’ Mine” with his daughter every day while taking her to school.

• Xavier Lopez, 10

Xavier was the kind of kid who loved fashionable wear and would always be ready for any show. The ten-year-old loved to dance to Colombian songs and normally facetime with his mom on her TikTok account. “That smile I will never forget; it would always cheer anyone up,” Felicia Martinez said of her son, a victim of the Tuesday shooting.

Maranda is described as a girl who had manners and was always respectful. Her family said, “she was a sweet, smart, and shy tomboy who enjoyed being in nature and the outdoors. ” She was 11 years old at the time of this horrible incident.

“I lost a piece of my heart,” Evadulia Orta said of her son Rojelio Torress while speaking with the ABC news. Rojelio is remembered as a smart boy who was always loving and caring.
